Privacy Policy
Apex Trailer Solutions LLC (“Apex,” “we,” “us”) rents utility and dump trailers from Easley, South Carolina. This policy explains what personal information we collect through rentapextrailers.com and when you rent from us, how we use it, who we share it with and how, and how we protect it.
Information we collect
What you give us
- Reservation requests: your name, phone number, email address, pickup and return dates, the type of project, whether you want pickup or delivery, your delivery address if you choose delivery, and any notes you add.
- Rentals: when you rent, we may also collect information needed to complete the rental agreement, such as your driver’s license details, your tow vehicle, and your signature.
- Online bookings: when you book through our website, the booking system collects your contact details, rental dates, delivery information, and payment details, and may collect a signed rental agreement and driver’s license information.
- Payments: your card details for the deposit and rental charges. These go directly to our payment processor (see below). We never see or store your full card number.
- Messages: anything you send us by phone, text, or email.
What we collect automatically
When you visit the site, Google Analytics records how you use it: pages viewed, links clicked (such as call, text, email, and reserve buttons), whether you started the reservation form, your approximate location, and device, browser, and IP address information. This is collected with cookies or similar technologies.
How we use it
- To respond to your request, confirm availability, and schedule pickup or delivery.
- To process deposits and payments, issue refunds, and collect balances owed.
- To prepare and enforce the rental agreement, and to handle damage, late returns, and claims.
- To contact you about your rental.
- To understand how the site is used and improve it.
- To meet legal, tax, and insurance obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Who we share it with, and how
We share information only with the service providers that help us run the business, each for a specific purpose:
- HQ Rent (Big Rentals) is the online booking and rental management system embedded on our Book page. It receives and stores the information you enter when you book, and it is operated by Big Rentals under its own privacy policy.
- Stripe processes card payments and deposits. Your card details are sent from your browser or device directly to Stripe over an encrypted connection. Stripe’s handling of your data is covered by its privacy policy.
- Supabase hosts the database where contact-form requests are stored. Your form entries are sent to it over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.
- FormSubmit delivers contact-form requests to our email inbox over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.
- Google provides Google Analytics for site usage statistics, and Google Fonts to display the site’s typefaces. Your browser contacts Google directly, so Google receives your IP address. You can opt out of Analytics with Google’s browser add-on.
- Hostinger hosts the website and receives standard server logs (IP address, pages requested).
We may also disclose information when required by law, to respond to a valid legal request, to recover the trailer or an unpaid balance (including through law enforcement, a collection agency, or an attorney), to report or handle an insurance claim, or to protect our rights, our equipment, or other people. If Apex is ever sold or restructured, customer information may transfer to the new owner under the same protections.
How we protect it
- The site and every data transfer described above use HTTPS encryption.
- Bookings are handled inside HQ Rent’s system, so your booking details and payment information are entered on their secure servers rather than on ours.
- Card data is handled by Stripe, which is certified to PCI DSS Level 1, the highest payment security standard. We do not store card numbers.
- Reservation records sit in a database with restricted access, and only the owner can view them.
- We keep only what we need, and we limit access to the business owner.
No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you as required by South Carolina law.
How long we keep it
We keep reservation and rental records for as long as needed to run the business, resolve disputes, and satisfy tax and legal requirements, typically up to several years. Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics settings. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below).
Your choices
- Ask us what information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by contacting us below. We may need to keep some records for legal or tax reasons.
- Block or clear cookies in your browser settings, or use the Google Analytics opt-out above. The site still works without them.
- Tell us to stop contacting you about anything other than an active rental.
Children
Renters must be 25 or older. The site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the effective date above.
